| Iwakura City@is located in the center of Owari plain in the northwest of Aichi prefectureAat the end of Inuyama alluvial fan formed by Kisogawa. Its altitude is about 10 meters in the center, and the difference of altitude between the highest and the lowest point is about 4 meters. The City is crossed by Meitetsu Inuyama railway which connects Nagoya City to Inuyama City . In the center of city, there is Iwakura station, in the north, Ishibotoke station, and in the south Taisanji station. It takes 15@minutes by express train from Iwakura station to Nagoya station.
From Iwakura station to Aichi prefecture office, it takes about 45 minutes, and from Iwakura station to Nagoya prefecture airport, it takes about 20 minutes by car. In the North of the City, there is Meishin highway, so one can reach neighbouring Cities of Ichinomiya and Komakifs Interchange in about 15 minutes.
