The slightly elevated part of Niimizo Shrine in Hon-machi is the Niimizo Tomb. When the land was being cleared for the reconstruction of the shrine during the Meiji period,several stone megaliths were discovered,and it became clear that it was a tomb,and if you try to imagine how big they must have been,you realise that the tomb itself must also have been huge.
