The Daichi Ruins in Noai,Daichi-cho are very important for anyone researching Yayoi culture of the Owari plain. In the archaeological research department of Nagoya University,it was found that the earthenware pot,dug up in a field in 1947,dated back to the early half of the middle Yayoi period. After that, similar objects were found, distributed mainly in the northern part of the Owari plain, and since then, this kind of earthenware has been called Daichi style Earthenware. The remains of a reactangular pit dwelling, the four corners of which had become rounded, were also discovered in the excavation. Finally, earthenware from the late Jomon period and the middle and late Yayoi periods were also dug out of the ground.
