This private house was discovered when the town´s history was being written in 1955. This house has a thatched roof,and because of the gate which resembles a “torii"or the sacred gate of a Shrine,it acquired the name “toriidate". It is an important building as it preserves the style of farmhouses from the distant Muromachi period .
